Lenten Retreat with Bsp. Kallistos Ware
Bishop KALLISTOS of Diokleia, known to many as Timothy Ware, the author of The Orthodox Church and other theological works, has been announced as the speaker for the 11th Annual Lenten Retreat at the Annunciation Cathedral in Baltimore. Anyone who has not heard him speak should save the date for this event, and anyone who has will certainly want to do the same; His Grace is a compelling and inspiring speaker as well as an intensely holy man. Because of his monastic lifestyle (he is a monk at the Monastery of St. John the Baptist on Patmos) he only makes one trip to the United States every year or two, so this is an event not to be missed. His presentation will be based on the book of Acts, giving us a better understanding of how the early church began and grew.
All, including non-Orthodox, are welcome at this retreat; hearing His Grace speak about the Orthodox Church is an excellent and eloquent introduction to our faith. Please join us!
