Weeping Icon of St. Anna

In the Russian Orthodox Church of Our Lady the Joy of All Who Sorrow (ROCOR), located in Philadelphia, PA an icon of St. Righteous Anna was found to have been weeping myrrh since November, 2004. Since the discovery of myrrh coming from the icon, many miracles occurred in the lives of the faithful who venerated the icon and was anointed by its myrrh. Our own Fr. Joachim suffered terrible pain from two ruptured disks in his spine. Even after several different medical interventions, the pain intensified to the point where Fr. Joachim became totally incapacitated. However, earlier this month, he traveled to venerate this icon. After praying before the icon and being anointed with its myrrh, Fr. Joachim was able to walk again and even served Divine Liturgy the very next day.

By the Grace of God and thanks to the generosity of the churchs pastor, Fr. Athanasy, this miracle-working, weeping icon will visit our parish February 25-26. Spread the word among all of our parishioners, other Orthodox parishes in the area and your friends. Encourage all those who are infirmed to come to venerate this miracle working icon.

On Friday, February 25th at 7:00 PM we will sing the Akathist service to St. Anna. Confessions will follow the service. On Saturday, February 26th, at 10:00 AM we will celebrate Divine Liturgy with a moleben to St. Anna. After Divine Services a humble dinner will be offered in the church hall. Dont miss this opportunity!
